Here are some questions to consider for discussion in our next Math class:

  • What are prime numbers?
  • Why is 9 NOT a Prime Number?
  •  What is a factor?
  • What name is given to numbers that have more than two factors?
  • Is zero a Prime Number? What do you think?

Students I know some of you were having problems in computing long division. Here is a video for you to view so that you will have a better understanding of how to do long division.

Multiplication using the BOX METHOD
Here's how the "box method" works: 23x7
First you divide the larger number into its separate parts. Here, 23 become 20 and 3.
Next, you multiply each separate part — 20 x 7 and 3 x 7.
Finally, you add all the products together. 140 + 21 equals 161, the product of 23 x 7.

See how it works!!
